Please find below the activities that are scheduled to take place from the week commencing Monday 5 August 2024 in connection with the Sydenham Hill Estate Redevelopment Project.

Monday 5 – Friday 9 August

Block A:

External sheet boarding
Scaffolding & monoflex
External façade
Blockwork to Internal wall
Window install - 1st floor & 2nd floor
Finishing to the concrete framework on the roof
Lifting in and alignment of pre-cast concrete stairs

Block B:

Building the structure to hold the concrete for 4th floor
Scaffolding
Service trenches for water mains, BT & Virgin services

Block C:

Finishing to the concrete framework on the roof
Scaffolding - 1st to 4th floor
Metal framework - ground floor & 1st floor
Civilise earth beyond scaffold mat

Otto Close:

Drainage works, including sewage connections on Otto Close - *See note below
Ground beams to rear of plots 5 to 7
Slab preparation work - digging, insultation, waterproofing, steel reinforcing
Brickwork & blockwork on the lowest 4 plots
Installation of steelwork on the first 4 plots

Saturday 10 August (08.00 - 13.00)

Continuation of works listed above

Noisy works

Plant movement (excavators and dumpers)

Deliveries

Muck removal lorries in and out of main gate
Concrete lorries in and out of the delivery gate
Pre-cast concrete stairs delivery and lifting in to site by crane

Note

We are continuing with a phased closure to parts of Otto Close to carry out works to the manholes to connect the new sewer to the existing sewer. Access for vehicles and pedestrians will be retained throughout, but parts of the road will be single file traffic around the fenced-off areas where work will be taking place. At the end of each day a road plate will be put over the manhole and the barriers will be removed to allow traffic to use the whole road safely.
Please note that the delivery of the pre-cast staircase will take place this week, but the delivery will now be during the working day, and we will not need to use the extra hour until 7pm as previously advised.
Soft Landscaping proposals: There will be a further online meeting on Wednesday 7 August at 6.30pm, for residents to review the changes agreed at the last meeting. Please refer to separate invitation for details on how to attend.
