Please find below the activities that are scheduled to take place from the week commencing Monday 12 August 2024 in connection with the Sydenham Hill Estate Redevelopment Project.
Monday 12 - Friday 16 August
Block A:
External sheet boarding
Scaffolding & monoflex
Windows & doors install – 1st – 3rd floor
Internal mechanical works
Roof truss delivery
Roof waterproofing & drylining commencement
Block B:
Building the structure to hold the 5th floor
Scaffolding
Service trench for water mains, BT & Virgin services
Civilise earth by Gate 2
Block C:
Finishing to the concrete framework on the roof
Scaffolding
Metal framework – Ground floor & 1st floor
Windows install
External facade
Civilise earth beyond scaffold mat
Otto Close:
Drainage works to the last manhole in Otto Close * See note
Ground beams to rear of plots 5 to 7
Slab preparation work – digging, insulation, waterproofing, steel reinforcing
Brickwork and blockwork on first 4 plots

Muck removal lorries in and out of main gate
Concrete lorries in and out of the delivery gate
Pre-cast concrete stairs and roof truss delivery and lifting into site by crane.
Note/Future works
We have nearly finished works to the manholes in Otto Close to connect the new sewer to the existing sewer. Access for vehicles and pedestrians will be retained throughout, but parts of the road will be single file traffic around the fenced-off areas where work will be taking place. At the end of each day a road plate will be put over the manhole and the barriers will be removed to allow traffic to use the whole road safely.
