Sydenham Hill Estate Weekly Works Update: w/c Monday 22 April 2024

Please find below the activities that are scheduled to take place from the week commencing Monday 22 April 2024 in connection with the Sydenham Hill Estate Redevelopment Project.

Monday 22 – Friday 26 April

Block A:

Building the structure to hold the second floor.
Perimeter drainage installation

Block B:

Cutting down concrete to foundation piles.
Steelwork to concrete floor
Drainage installation and waterproofing

Block C:

Building the structure to hold the concrete being poured for retaining wall
Steel work for the structure
Building the structure/decking to hold the ground floor

Otto Close:

Drainage diversion works by 23 Lammas Green are complete, area civilising and awaiting delivery of turf to be laid
Kingpost install to hold back the ground level and concrete post install
Reduce level dig to attenuation tank
Saw cutting to tarmac for manhole installation in Otto Close

Saturday 27 April

Blocks A/B/C:

Material re-organisation
Drainage & decking installation
Steel fixing

Otto Close:

Muck away lorries to clear debris from the site

Noisy works

• Plant movement (excavators and dumpers)

Deliveries

• Muck removal lorries in and out of main gate

• Concrete lorries in and out of the delivery gate

Note

Please refer to previous notification with diagrams outlining the works which will be taking place in Otto Close for the next 3-4 weeks to connect the new sewers to the existing sewers at the entrance to the road. Sections of the road will be fenced off around the manholes and traffic will be one way only. Traffic marshals will be on site during working hours and work areas will be completely isolated and safely closed off after the end of each day. Otto Close drainage had a soft start this week and will be ongoing from next week
Please note that we have upgraded our security system to monitor night-time activity on the site which includes an alarm and automated voice in the event of any site intruders. It is important that these measures are put in place for public safety.
Saturday works will take place every weekend moving forward during our permitted hours of 8am – 1pm. Any changes will be communicated in advance.
