Sydenham Hill Estate Weekly Works Update: w/c Monday 23 September 2024

Dear Neighbour,

 

Please find below the activities that are scheduled to take place from the week commencing Monday 23 September 2024 in connection with the Sydenham Hill Estate Redevelopment Project.

Monday 23- Friday 27 September

Block A

  • External façade

  • Floor screeding

  • Scaffolding & monoflex

  • Internal walls – blockwork

  • Internal mechanical services

  • Roof truss installation & waterproofing

Block B

  • Building structure to hold concrete on 6th floor

  • Metal framework - ground floor & 1st floor

  • Stairway Installation

  • Internal mechanical services

  • External works/trenches to facilitate the meter installation by Thames Water *

  • Scaffolding - ground floor to 3rd floor

Block C

  • External façade

  • Internal mechanical fitting

  • Metal framework – 2nd & 3rd floor

  • Scaffolding – 1st to 4th floor

  • Roof truss installation & waterproofing

  • Windows installation

Otto Close

  • External brickworks, plots 1-4

  • Internal blockwork, plots 5-7

  • Painting structural steel, plots 5-11

  • Scaffolding,plots 1-4

Saturday 28 September (08.00 – 13.00)

  • Continuation of works listed above

 

Noisy works

  • Plant movement (excavators and dumpers)

  • Fixing of metal frame work to form external walls (a different cutting technique is now being used to reduce noise)

Deliveries

  • Muck removal lorries in and out of main gate

  • Concrete lorries in and out of the delivery gate

Note/Future works

  • Safety notice: Please ensure that all traffic signs and barriers aimed at passing pedestrians are observed at all times. Marshalls are on site monitoring all construction traffic, and we request that you follow their instructions, particularly if you are with children, for your and their own safety.

  • Thames Water works: This will require a road closure (Sydenham Hill) for the final connection to the site which is currently planned for 2 October. We will provide further details of any traffic diversions in due course.
